Q: What are Panelbeds, Murphybeds, Wallbeds & Hide-a-beds?

PANELBEDS

These beds are what we here at Architectural Murphybed have designed and developed. This bed is secured to the wall. This style has the doors attached to the bed, when you pull the bed down, the doors come down with bed. This bed only requires a mattress.

MURPHYBEDS

These beds use the traditional bed frame. This bed is secured to the floor. This style you open the doors out to the side and then pull the bed frame down with it. This bed requires both a mattress and notched foundation.

WALLBEDS

Wallbeds are the name for a either a Panelbed or Murphybed. A Wallbed is nothing more than a bed that folds up in a closet, wall or cabinetry.

HIDE-A-BEDS

Hide-a-bed is a name for a either a Panelbed or Murphybed. A Hide-a-bed is bed that folds up in something, as to not able to be seen. In a relaxed term, it is a bed that you hide.

Q: What is the difference between Panelbeds vs. Murphybeds?

We offer 2 style's of Bed Systems:

PANELBED

These beds are what we here at Architectural, we have designed and developed this bed for today's time. This bed is secured to the wall. This style has the doors attached to the bed, when you pull the bed down, the doors come down with bed. This bed only requires a mattress.

MURPHYBED

Q: What kind of mouldings are available?

CARVED CROWN MOULDING

Carved moulding gives the most commanding look. This gives your Panelbed a true furniture look, that you can not get anywhere else.

CROWN MOULDING WITH INSERT

Crown Moulding with either a Rope Moulding or Dental Moulding insert gives your cabinetry that look that only most other get when the buy expensive custom cabinetry, but lucky for you, we give you this option without the expensive price tag. Rope & Dental are optional with the Crown, you do not have to have them, you can order the Crown minus the Rope & Dental.
FLUTED FILLERS

Fluted Fillers are only available on the Panelbeds, and are an optional upgrade. Panelbeds are standard without the Fluted Fillers, but you can upgrade to them. When you use Crown Moulding & Fluted Fillers on your bed, add in either Dental or Rope, and WOW you have custom furniture cabinetry.
CROWN MOULDINGS

Crown Moulding adds a definite completed look to your cabinets. We highly recommend crown moulding to any order. Some of our beds come standard with Crown, call for information 888-743-0600
